IMPROVE YOUR GAME, WHERE EVER YOU ARE

This page is full of useful resources that help you to improve your game whatever you are doing, and where ever you are. Simple skills games, observational games when watching your favourite team and more...

SKILL GAMES (Level 1)

As long as you have a small outdoor open space, you can practice your skills, techniques and tricks. Follow the link below for some fun skill games to pracitice.

SKILL GAMES (Level 1)

Sponge Ball

A sponge ball is brilliant for practising, improving and perfecting fine skills, tricks and techniques. A sponge ball is safe to practice inside and outside, however we are not recommending it is kicked hard around the living room. This ball is ideal for practising your close control, for example walking round the house using your weak foot only.

OBSERVATION GAMES

Whether you are watching Messi on T.V or Hazard at Stamford Bridge there are always things you can learn and bring into your own game, as well as enjoying watching players at the top of their game. Next time you are watching a game take some time to pay attention to one player who plays in the same position to you.

Watch out for a few things:

  • How they use their body when receiving the ball

  • Their runs off of the ball

  • The positions they get into without the ball and what they are doing without the ball

Do this and then discuss what you think with a family member or friend, do not be afraid to make notes. Observing the top players can only help improve your own game.
